Hartford HealthCare is seeking a passionate and dedicated Physical Therapist (PT) for our Outpatient Orthopedic department. With over 30 outpatient locations and a wide range of specialties, including sports medicine, hand therapy, and musculoskeletal disorders, we provide comprehensive rehabilitation services in various settings.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough examinations and evaluations of patient's level of function including strength, movement, motor control, joint mobility, pain, balance, coordination, and functional abilities
• Establish measurable goals for patients based on their needs and develop appropriate treatment plans
• Deliver physical therapy treatments using a variety of interventions and modalities
• Educate patients and their families on treatment, precautions, and equipment use
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and transition planning
• Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to Physical Therapist Assistants, Rehabilitation Aides, and students

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
• Open to new graduates
• Previous experience as a Physical Therapist preferred
• Current State of CT Physical Therapy license or active temporary license at the time of hire
