Description:

Hartford HealthCare is a leading provider of addiction and mental health services in Connecticut. Our Rushford Center is nationally recognized for its outstanding prevention, treatment, and recovery programs. We offer a wide range of services including acute care and evaluation, residential addiction treatment, individual and family therapy, and community support programs.

As a Behavioral Health Clinician, you will work in close collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to organize, prepare, and deliver evidence-based clinical services. Your responsibilities will include evaluating the psychiatric and psychosocial needs of patients, developing multidisciplinary treatment plans, and providing individual, couple, group, and family therapy. You will also coordinate care across different levels of care, educate patients and families, and ensure seamless transitions to meet established goals.

In addition to providing direct patient care, you will participate in administrative and development activities, such as team meetings, staff supervision, and staff education. You will contribute to the development of hospital and unit-based programming and work as an effective team member to improve the patient experience. Your role will also involve maintaining accurate medical documentation and complying with regulatory licensing requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate the psychiatric and psychosocial needs of patients and develop multidisciplinary treatment plans
  • Conduct individual, couple, group, and family therapy as part of the treatment team
  • Organize and prioritize care, interventions, safety planning, and treatment
  • Provide medical documentation based on program needs and regulatory licensing requirements
  • Coordinate and implement patient care across different levels of care
  • Educate patients and families and facilitate seamless transitions
  • Ensure the cost-effective utilization of resources
  • Participate in administrative and development activities to support quality improvement

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field
  • Three years of experience providing direct services to psychiatric and substance use patients
  • Previous experience in assessment, diagnosis, individual/group therapy, and crisis intervention
  • Active CT License in Social Work, Professional Counseling, Alcohol & Drug Counselor, Marital & Family Therapy
