As a Physical Therapist at Encompass Health, you will have the chance to work with a diverse range of patients, including those recovering from stroke, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, joint replacements, multiple trauma, and cardiac/pulmonary conditions. You will play a vital role in assisting patients in achieving their goals and regaining their independence. In addition to providing physical therapy treatment and patient care, you will collaborate with other hospital departments to ensure the highest level of care and patient safety.

Responsibilities:

• Provide physical therapy treatment and patient care according to hospital, state, and federal regulations and professional guidelines.
• Delegate tasks and supervise physical therapist assistants and technicians.
• Maintain open and ongoing communication with hospital departments to meet patient, staff, and hospital needs.
• Help patients regain control of their lives and regain independence.
• Create an environment and culture that enables the hospital to provide patient safety and patient-centered treatment.

Requirements:

• Current state licensure or certification required.
• CPR certification preferred unless otherwise required by hospital policy.
• Degree from an accredited bachelor's or master's program.
• Demonstrated competence in physical therapy evaluation, assessment, care planning, and treatment.
• Effective communication skills for working with patients, families, and caregivers.
