Summary

Hartford HealthCare is currently seeking a Nurse Practitioner (APRN) or Physician Assistant to join our Wound Care / Wound Center team in Cheshire, CT. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work in Connecticut's most comprehensive healthcare network and contribute to the mission of providing advanced wound care and hyperbaric medicine therapies. You will be responsible for comprehensive diagnosis and wound assessment, coordination of patient care, and ordering appropriate tests and therapies.

  • Job Type: Part-time
  • Location: Cheshire, CT
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm
  • Shift: Shift 1

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive diagnosis and wound assessment of patients
  • Order appropriate lab tests, imaging studies, and interpret results
  • Manage Hyperbaric oxygen therapy treatments
  • Coordinate care of assigned patients, including nursing care, nutrition, medications, dressings, and adjunctive wound therapies
  • Review patient charts, write progress notes, and complete medical record documentation

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Master’s program
  • Licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of Connecticut
  • Certification as a Physician Assistant or National Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner
  • Wound care certification or experience preferred
