Summary

Hartford HealthCare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team at the Center for Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine in Torrington, CT. As a member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive wound care and hyperbaric medicine therapies to patients in Southern New England.   • Job Schedule: Part Time
  • Standard Hours: 32 per week
  • Job Shift: Shift 1 (Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm)

Role and Responsibilities

As a Nurse Practitioner (APRN) or Physician Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing comprehensive diagnosis and wound assessments of patients
  • Ordering and interpreting appropriate lab tests and imaging studies
  • Managing Hyperbaric oxygen therapy treatments
  • Coordinating the care of assigned patients, including nursing care, nutrition, medications, dressings, and adjunctive wound therapies
  • Reviewing patient charts, writing progress notes, and completing other required medical record documentation

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, you must have the following qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Master’s program
  • Licensed, or eligible to be licensed, as a Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of Connecticut
  • Certification or eligible to be certified as a Physician Assistant, or National Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner
  • Wound care certification or experience is preferred
