As an LPN at Hartford HealthCare, you will work within the framework of supportive and restorative care, health counseling, and teaching. You will collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to monitor patient conditions and deliver care according to the appropriate scope of practice in the acute care, hospital setting.

Responsibilities:

• Perform medication administration of oral agents, injections, and IV fluids
• Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition to the registered nurse
• Provide point of care testing and specimen collection
• Perform activities of daily living for patients
• Educate patients and families on treatments, procedures, and medications
• Start and replace tube feedings
• Perform wound and skin care
• Document care provided in the electronic medical record

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• LPN Educational Training and proof of licensure in the State of CT
• Current Connecticut LPN License
• BLS Certification
• 1 or more years' experience working as an LPN or patient care technician
