Hitachi Construction Machinery (Australia) Pty Ltd, a prominent manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, is seeking an After Sales Major Projects Manager to join the team in Gunnedah, New South Wales. The role involves managing Project Managers and client relationships in the region, focusing on machine health and overseeing Gunnedah machine rebuilds, major shuts, and projects. Collaborating with the Projects Manager, you will drive business growth through the promotion of Hitachi parts, labor, and services.

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate a safety-first culture by fostering personal responsibility and interdependence among team members.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance performance, equipment reliability, and reduce maintenance costs.
  • Track and manage all work in progress efficiently within designated areas.
  • Coordinate and execute new machine assembly, shutdowns, and project work successfully.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in management, business development, or a technical role with mobile equipment in the mining industry or a related OEM.
  • Engineering qualifications in a relevant discipline, along with management or business-related certifications.
  • Proficiency in analyzing technical data and reports, strong project management skills, and business development experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, time management, negotiating, and influencing skills.
