Job Schedule: Per Diem Standard Hours: 1 Job Shift: Shift 1 (per diem, as needed, possible on-call)

Position Highlights

• Operate digital equipment and perform complex invasive procedures
• Prepare contrast media and position patients
• Assist physicians in diagnosis and treatment
• Maintain sterile technique
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Utilize advanced technology and clinical partnerships

Responsibilities

• Operate interventional radiology equipment while maintaining sterile technique
• Prep and assemble sterile trays as necessary
• Perform accurate procedural documentation
• Select exposure factors for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
• Input procedural information into electronic medical record
• Obtain relevant patient information and ensure accurate diagnosis
• Explain procedures to patients and address their concerns
• Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and equipment
• Perform quality assurance testing on equipment
• Maintain clinical proficiency and participate in department initiatives

Qualifications

• State of Connecticut Radiographer license
• ARRT certification in Radiography
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Graduate from an accredited Radiography program
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist
• 1-2 years of Interventional Radiology experience preferred
