Summary

Ascension is currently seeking an experienced Interventional Technologist to join our team at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. As an Interventional Technologist, you will play a crucial role in assisting with procedures and providing diagnostic aid to our patients through organ or body scans. • Sign-on bonus: $10,000
• Department: Interventional Radiology
• Schedule: Will be on-call for seven shifts 7pm - 7am one week, the next week work 4 10-hour shifts, 7am - 5pm, with no call during the week. This pattern rotates for as long as the associate is in this position.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients and select accurate anatomic and technical parameters for scans
• Prepare and administer contrast media and medications
• Monitor patient during procedures and report any abnormal activity
• Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines
• Perform specialized imaging procedures such as angio, complex vascular and nonvascular interventional and therapeutic procedures
• Ensure compliance with regulatory agency standards

Requirements

• BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month of hire date
• Cardiographic Tech credentials from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) OR Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentials from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 6 months of hire date
• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable job-specific experience
