We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Commercial Finance Manager to join our dynamic digital agency in Melbourne, Victoria. In this role, you will play a crucial role in driving our financial performance and providing valuable insights to the business.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with the Commercial Director and Operations Director to develop and execute financial strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
• Prepare and maintain accurate budgets and forecasts, ensuring they are aligned with business plans and objectives.
• Analyze project performance, identifying key drivers of profitability and providing insights to improve financial outcomes.
• Monitor and control the cost base of the company, identifying areas for cost optimization and efficiency improvements.
• Develop and maintain financial models, utilizing Excel and other tools to manage and analyze large data sets.
• Provide regular financial reports and analysis to key stakeholders, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Support the Commercial Director in pricing strategies and contract negotiations to maximize profitability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial considerations are integrated into decision-making processes.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to commercial finance management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Commercial Finance Manager or similar role within the digital marketing industry.
• Strong financial analysis and modeling skills, with advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Experience in managing and analyzing large data sets to derive meaningful insights.
• Excellent business partnering skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes (P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow).
• Knowledge of project management principles and their financial implications.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
