Summary:

Hartford HealthCare is seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist to join our Radiology team. As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will perform diagnostic procedures on patients using ultrasound waves to examine tissue and body structure, providing high-quality images to radiologists and physicians for interpretation. You will conduct a variety of ultrasound procedures, including abdominal, pelvic, gynecologic, small parts, Doppler studies, and interventional procedures.

This position requires excellent communication skills and an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient's individual age-specific needs. You will provide individualized age-specific treatment and care. Additionally, you may be required to perform procedures in other departments such as the operating room, interventional radiology, and on hospital inpatient units. This is a 100% clinical position.

Responsibilities:

• Perform ultrasound scans on patients and obtain clear and accurate images
• Prepare patients for procedures and provide reassurance and support
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during the procedure
• Assist radiologists and physicians in the interpretation of images
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Stay up-to-date with new advancements in ultrasound technology

Qualifications:

• Registered or registry eligible with ARDMS/RDMS
• Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Program
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
• Maintain continuing education credits
