Responsibilities

• Provide effective supervision and leadership to a therapy team or discipline.
• Collaborate with the Director of Therapy Operations to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
• Communicate and build strong relationships with interdepartmental teams.
• Conduct evaluations, assessments, care planning, and treatment in the licensed discipline.
• Delegate and supervise tasks to therapist assistants and technicians.
• Assist with staffing, scheduling, orientation, training, and communication to ensure adequate coverage for patient treatments.
• Maintain ongoing communication with hospital departments to meet patient, staff, and hospital needs.
• Deliver patient care in the licensed discipline for approximately 80% - 90% of work hours.

Requirements

• Current state license as a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Speech Language Pathologist.
• CPR certification preferred unless otherwise required by hospital policy.
• Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited therapy program.
• Minimum of three years of discipline-specific or leadership experience, with at least two years in a clinical setting.
• Active on Therapy Clinical Ladder or specialty professional certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interdepartmental relationships.
• Ability to evaluate, assess, plan, and provide treatment in the licensed discipline.
• Proficiency in using general office equipment and Microsoft Office software.
• Physical requirements include lifting, pushing, pulling, and retrieving objects weighing a minimum of 30 pounds.
• Skills in oral and written communication, active listening, time management, critical thinking, and coordination.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
