Speech Pathologist - PRN

Encompass Health is a national leader in post-acute care, providing rehabilitation services to patients across the United States. We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech Pathologist to join our team on a PRN (as-needed) basis. In this role, you will be responsible for providing speech-language treatment and patient care, ensuring that our patients receive the highest quality of care and achieve their rehabilitation goals.

Responsibilities

• Administer speech-language treatments and therapy sessions to patients, following hospital, state, and federal regulations and professional guidelines.
• Delegate tasks and supervise fellows, technicians, and assistants to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
• Maintain open and ongoing communication with hospital departments to meet the needs of patients, staff, and the hospital.

Requirements

• Current state licensure or certification as a Speech Pathologist.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Successful completion of an accredited master's degree program or an accredited bachelor's degree program plus sufficient experience in the field.
• Demonstrated competence in speech-language pathology evaluation, assessment, care planning, and treatment.
• Effective communication skills for working with patients, families, and caregivers.
