Details:

As a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP), you will independently evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver speech therapy services. You will work with patients to restore communication, cognition, and swallowing disorders, enabling them to achieve safety and independence.

Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough evaluations of patients' oral-motor strength, motor speech, voice, deglutition, auditory comprehension, reading comprehension, verbal expression, written expression, memory, problem-solving, and attention.
• Establish measurable goals based on patient needs and implement appropriate interventions and treatments.
• Provide patient and caregiver education regarding treatment, precautions, and equipment use.
• Participate in patient transition planning and coordinate care with other healthcare providers.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree, Clinical Doctorate, or PhD in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Open to new graduates.
• Previous experience as a Speech Language Pathologist preferred.
• Current State of Connecticut license in Speech Language Pathology required.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Approved Clinical Fellowship plan.
