Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Cumming is a unique facility where you can provide specialized speech-language treatment to patients recovering from stroke, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, joint replacements, multiple trauma, and cardiac/pulmonary conditions. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to maximize your talent and make a lasting impact by:

  • Providing speech-language treatment and patient care according to hospital, state, and federal regulations and professional guidelines.

  • Delegating tasks and supervising fellows, technicians, and assistants.

  • Maintaining open and ongoing communication with hospital departments to ensure that patient, staff, and hospital needs are met.

We are looking for a qualified candidate with current state licensure or certification, along with a demonstrated competence in speech-language pathology evaluation, assessment, care planning, and treatment. Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech-language treatment and patient care following hospital, state, and federal regulations and professional guidelines.
  • Delegate tasks and supervise fellows, technicians, and assistants.
  • Maintain open and ongoing communication with hospital departments.

Requirements:

  • Current state licensure or certification.
  • CPR certification (preferred).
  • Successful completion of an accredited master's degree program or an accredited bachelor's degree program with sufficient experience in the field.
  • Demonstrated competence in speech-language pathology evaluation, assessment, care planning, and treatment.
  • Effective communication skills for working with patients, families, and caregivers.
