About Glenwood Healthcare Center

Glenwood Healthcare Center is a leading long-term care center dedicated to providing exceptional care for our residents. As an RN Staff Development Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in educating and training our nursing staff to ensure the highest level of quality care is delivered.

Responsibilities

As an RN Staff Development Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinate and conduct Nurse Aide training classes and testing, ensuring all necessary documentation is maintained.
  • Develop materials, manuals, and teaching aids, and maintain a resource library.
  • Coordinate annual State-mandated inservicing for all employees.
  • Coordinate State-mandated training hours for all State Tested Nursing Assistants (STNAs).
  • Participate in Quality Improvement meetings to identify areas of weakness and provide staff training.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain an effective orientation program.
  • Conduct and coordinate skills testing.

Qualifications & Experience

To succeed in this role, you should have the following qualifications and experience:

  • Current RN license in the state where the center is located.
  • Prior work/life experiences, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Maintain a "Train The Trainer" certificate for STNA training.
  • Prior experience in staff development in long-term care is desirable.
  • Prior supervisory experience, preferably in a long-term care center.
