Summary
Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the position of RN Clinical Unit Supervisor in the Medical-Surgical and Telemetry Nursing department. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent patient care, managing clinical practice, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality individualized care based on the Watson Model of Care. The Clinical Unit Supervisor will work under the direction of the Nurse Manager and Director for Medical-Surgical Nursing to promote employee growth and development, patient advocacy, and the hospital's mission and values.

Responsibilities
The RN Clinical Unit Supervisor will be responsible for the following:
- Organizing, planning, and directing patient care
- Coordinating and providing high-quality, individualized care
- Meeting special needs and considerations of patients based on age and population-specific awareness
- Assuring patient advocacy and promoting employee growth
Requirements
To be considered for this position, you must meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor of Science degree in nursing
- Minimum of three (3) years of clinical nursing experience in Medical/Surgical/Telemetry nursing
- Current California nursing license
- Certification in Medical/Surgical Nursing preferred
- Basic EKG competence
- Bilingual skills preferred (Spanish)
- Basic computer skills
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record preferred
