Summary:

Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital is seeking an experienced and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for the position of Clinical Unit Supervisor. As a Clinical Unit Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing excellent nursing care and managing the Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units. With a focus on patient-centered care and adherence to the Watson Model of Care, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to patients and ensuring the growth and development of the nursing team. Responsibilities:

• Organize, plan, direct, and coordinate patient care in the Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units
• Provide individualized, patient/family-centered care based on the Watson Model of Care
• Meet special needs and considerations of Age and Population Specific awareness
• Promote the growth and development of employees
• Assure patient advocacy
• Support the mission and core values of Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital
• Contribute to the goals and direction of the quality and performance improvement process activities

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Sciences degree in nursing (individuals hired without a BSN will be required to complete a degree program within 5 years of their hire date)
• Minimum of three (3) years of clinical nursing experience in Medical/Surgical/Telemetry nursing
• Minimum one (1) year of Clinical Unit Supervisor experience
• Current California Nursing license
• Certification in Medical/Surgical Nursing preferred
• Basic EKG Competence
• Bilingual skills preferred (Spanish)
• Basic computer skills
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Experience with Electronic Medical Record preferred
