Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process as a problem-solving model to meet patient and family needs
• Conduct nursing assessments to identify and address patient needs
• Provide care appropriate to the age and needs of the patients served
• Maintain a therapeutic nurse/patient relationship throughout the healthcare continuum
• Communicate effectively using the SBAR (Situation, Background, Assessment, Recommendation) format
• Document patient care accurately and in accordance with hospital policies
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
• Participate in the implementation of quality and performance improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred, but not required
• Current California Nursing license
• Minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience
• Med/Surg/Telemetry or Critical Care nursing experience preferred
• Bilingual skills in Spanish preferred
• Basic computer skills
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advance Cardiac Life Support) certifications
