Job Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy to patients, including oxygen administration and the use of medical gases, aerosolized medications, positive pressure breathing devices, and ventilators
• Conduct pulmonary diagnostic procedures and assessments
• Evaluate and provide individualized age-specific treatments and care based on the principles of growth and development
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure efficient and quality patient care
• Participate in additional training and certification courses to develop expertise and skills in specialized clinical areas

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's Degree from an AMA approved Respiratory program
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) granted by The National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) required
• State of CT Respiratory Care Practitioner license required
• BLS certification required
