Job Responsibilities:

• Perform respiratory care procedures and therapies with minimal guidance, ensuring optimal patient care
• Manage, rehabilitate, and provide diagnostic evaluation for patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies and abnormalities
• Administer respiratory therapy, including oxygen and medication administration, use of breathing devices, and ventilator management
• Conduct pulmonary diagnostic procedures and assessments
• Provide individualized age-specific treatments and care based on the principles of growth and development
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure quality service to patient care units
• Pursue additional training and certification to develop specialized clinical expertise

Qualifications:

• Associate or Bachelor Degree from an AMA approved Respiratory program
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) granted by The National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) required
• State of CT Respiratory Care Practitioner license required
• BLS certification required
