- Shift: Shift 2, Hours will vary
Responsibilities
As a Respiratory Therapist RRT, your responsibilities will include:
- Performing evaluations of patients' respiratory functions
- Developing individualized care plans based on diagnosis
- Implementing and monitoring patient care plans
- Administering advanced respiratory care modalities
- Educating patients and their families about health conditions and available support programs
- Assessing and adjusting therapy modes
- Monitoring medication administration and infection control
- Safely operating respiratory equipment
- Performing pulmonary function screenings
Requirements
To qualify for the role of Respiratory Therapist RRT, you must have:
- Valid license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner from the Connecticut Department of Public Health
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Completion of a Respiratory Care Program
- 6 months to 1 year of experience (new graduates will be considered)
