Summary: Hartford HealthCare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to join our Respiratory Care team. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a crucial role in providing respiratory care to patients in need. This is a full-time position with standard hours of 36 per week, working primarily on Shift 3. Responsibilities:

• Provide respiratory care to patients with minimal guidance
• Perform therapy, management, rehabilitation, diagnostic evaluation, and care for patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies and abnormalities
• Administer oxygen, aerosolized medications, positive pressure breathing devices, ventilators, and resuscitation devices
• Perform pulmonary diagnostic procedures and assessments
• Assess each patient's individual age-specific needs
• Demonstrate efficiency in clinical and critical care settings, collaborating with the healthcare team
• Participate in additional training to develop skills in specialized clinical areas

Qualifications:

• Associate or Bachelor Degree from an AMA approved Respiratory program
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) granted by The National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) required
• State of CT Respiratory Care Practitioner license required
• BLS certification required
