Summary

Encompass Health, a leading healthcare provider, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to join our team. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will provide respiratory therapy treatment and patient care in accordance with hospital, state, and federal regulations and guidelines. Your role will be vital in creating a safe and patient-centered environment that promotes healing and improves the quality of life for our patients.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments to patients based on prescribed orders and treatment plans.
• Evaluate patient response to therapy and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
• Educate patients and their families on respiratory techniques, equipment usage, and self-care measures.
• Monitor and maintain equipment to ensure accuracy and safety.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
• Document patient progress and maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.

Requirements

• State License in Respiratory Therapy.
• CPR certification.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a hospital setting.

Skills and Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in using general office equipment and computer systems.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 30 pounds and perform physical tasks associated with patient care.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Work Environment

You will work in a state-of-the-art healthcare facility equipped with the latest technology and resources. Our environment is indoor, temperature controlled, and smoke-free, ensuring a comfortable and safe workplace. While most of your work will take place indoors, there may be occasional exposure to outdoor elements. You may also be exposed to blood and body fluids in the course of performing your duties.
