Summary:

Hartford HealthCare invites you to join their team as a Respiratory Therapist. As a Respiratory Therapist, you'll provide evaluation and care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies, assessing their condition, developing care plans, and implementing advanced respiratory care modalities. In addition, you'll educate patients and their families, ensuring they have the information and support needed for recovery. • Job Schedule: Full Time
• Standard Hours: 36
• Job Shift: Shift 1
• Shift Details: 3/12hr Shifts, every other weekend, every other holiday.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients for appropriate type and frequency of treatment
• Develop care plans based on diagnosis
• Implement and monitor patient care plan
• Perform advanced respiratory care modalities
• Evaluate respiratory practice and treatment based on patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families about health conditions and available programs
• Maintain infection control policies
• Safely administer medications related to respiratory diseases

Requirements:

• Licensure / Certification / Registration:
  • Licensed Respiratory Care Therapist credentialed from the Connecticut Department of Public Health
  • Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Red Cross
• Education: Completion of a Respiratory Care Program
• Work Experience: 6 months to 1 year (new graduates considered)
