Responsibilities
As a Respiratory Therapist, your responsibilities will include:
- Assessing patients and developing a care plan based on diagnosis
- Implementing and monitoring patient care plan
- Performing advanced respiratory care modalities
- Educating patients and families about health conditions and available support programs
- Evaluating therapy effectiveness and suggesting alternatives when appropriate
- Maintaining infection control policies
- Safely administering medications related to respiratory diseases
- Performing pulmonary function screening and weaning parameters
Requirements
To qualify for this position, you must have the following:
- Licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Completion of a Respiratory Care Program
- 6 months to 1 year of relevant work experience (new graduates will also be considered)
