  • Shift Details: Sign-on bonus eligible, Days/Eves/8hrs/12hrs, Every other weekend, Every other holiday

Position Summary:

As a Respiratory Therapist CRT, you will assess patients for appropriate type and frequency of treatment and develop a care plan based on the diagnosis. You will implement and monitor patient care plans, record and communicate patient condition, perform advanced respiratory care modalities, and evaluate respiratory practice based on patient outcomes.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assess patients for appropriate type and frequency of treatment
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Monitor and evaluate patient's condition
  • Perform advanced respiratory care modalities
  • Educate patients and families about health conditions
  • Assess patient's condition and identify appropriate therapy
  • Maintain infection control policies
  • Demonstrate competency on all equipment utilized
  • Perform baseline pulmonary function screening
  • Administer medications related to respiratory diseases

Qualifications:

  • Licensure/Certification/Registration:
    • Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner from the Connecticut Department of Public Health
    • Certified BLS Provider from the American Heart Association (AHA)
    • Certified BLS Provider from the American Red Cross
  • Education: Completion of a Respiratory Care Program
  • Work Experience: 6 months to 1 year (new graduates will be considered)
