Position Summary

As a Respiratory Therapist CRT, you will evaluate and provide care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies. You will assess patients, develop care plans, implement treatments, monitor and record patient condition, provide education, and ensure infection control policies are maintained.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patients for appropriate type and frequency of treatment and develop a plan of care based on diagnosis.
  • Implement and monitor patient care plan, performing advanced respiratory care modalities.
  • Evaluate respiratory practice, administration of medications, and treatment based on patient outcomes.
  • Educate patients and families about health conditions and available support programs.
  • Perform baseline pulmonary function screening and weaning parameters.
  • Safely administer medications related to respiratory diseases.
  • Maintain competency in all equipment utilized.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Connecticut Department of Public Health.
  • Certified BLS Provider credential from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Completion of a Respiratory Care Program.
  • 6 months to 1 year of experience, new graduates will be considered.
