With our talented team of professionals, The Hospital of Central Connecticut offers specialized care in general medicine, surgery, and a wide variety of specialties. As a Respiratory Care Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in administering respiratory therapy to assist, control, and improve patients' breathing. You will have the opportunity to work with advanced medical equipment, including oxygen and other medical gases, aerosolized medications, positive pressure breathing devices, ventilators, and resuscitation devices. Additionally, you will perform pulmonary diagnostic procedures and assessments.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an AMA approved school of respiratory therapy
- Valid Connecticut RCP license
- RRT or CRTT certification required
- Previous experience in an acute care setting
- Effective communication skills
