At The Hospital of Central Connecticut, we are an acute-care community teaching hospital offering comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services. Our team of talented professionals provides a wide range of specialties, caring for patients from birth through the end of life.
As a Respiratory Care Practitioner, you will administer respiratory therapy to assist, control, and improve patients' breathing. This includes administering oxygen and other medical gases, aerosolized medications, positive pressure breathing devices, ventilators, resuscitation devices, and more. You will also perform pulmonary diagnostic procedures and assessments as assigned or necessary.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an AMA approved school of respiratory therapy
- Current Connecticut RCP license
- RRT or CRTT certification
- Previous experience in an acute care setting
- Effective communication skills
