Responsibilities

As a Respiratory Care Practitioner, your main responsibilities will include:

• Administering respiratory therapy to assist, control, and improve patients' breathing
• Administering oxygen, aerosolized medications, and other medical gases
• Operating positive pressure breathing devices, ventilators, and resuscitation devices
• Performing pulmonary diagnostic procedures and assessments
• Additional duties as assigned or necessary

Requirements

To qualify for this position, you must have:

• Graduated from an AMA approved school of respiratory therapy
• Current Connecticut RCP license
• RRT or CRTT certification
• Previous experience in an acute care setting
• Effective communication skills
