Responsibilities
As a Respiratory Care Practitioner, your main responsibilities will include:
- Administering respiratory therapy to assist, control, and improve patients' breathing
- Administering oxygen, aerosolized medications, and other medical gases
- Operating positive pressure breathing devices, ventilators, and resuscitation devices
- Performing pulmonary diagnostic procedures and assessments
- Additional duties as assigned or necessary
Requirements
To qualify for this position, you must have:
- Graduated from an AMA approved school of respiratory therapy
- Current Connecticut RCP license
- RRT or CRTT certification
- Previous experience in an acute care setting
- Effective communication skills
