Job Summary:
As a Radiologic Technologist in our Urgent Care department, you will operate radiologic equipment and perform diagnostic procedures. Your responsibilities will include positioning patients, preparing contrast media, and ensuring the safety of both patients and staff by following radiation safety protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic radiography studies following established protocols
- Select appropriate exposure factors based on patient age and diagnosis
- Practice radiation safety measures to protect patients, staff, and comply with regulatory requirements
- Input procedural data accurately in RIS and PACS systems
- Utilize various imaging technologies, including DR, CR, and Panorex
- Provide clinical supervision and instruction to students
- Maintain quality standards and participate in best practice initiatives
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Tech program preferred
- Current CT Radiographer License required
- Demonstrated competencies in meeting age-specific patient needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as a team member
- CPR certification within 3 months of hire
- Continuing education credits to maintain professional development
