Hartford HealthCare Medical Group is one of the largest medical practices in New England with multiple locations throughout Connecticut and Rhode Island. We consist of a team of professionals ranging from Medical Assistants to Physician Assistants and everything in between. Our physician-led medical group enjoys an excellent reputation with patients and the medical community, offering primary care, urgent care, and more than 30 different specialties.

Responsibilities

  • Operate radiologic equipment and perform radiologic procedures under the guidance of physicians
  • Position patients and prepare contrast media for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
  • Follow established protocols and select correct exposure factors for diagnostic radiography studies
  • Practice radiation safety and adhere to radiation safety standards to protect patients and staff
  • Accurately input procedural data in RIS and PACS
  • Utilize DR, CR, and Panorex for exams, annotate and QA transferring all images into PACS
  • Provide clinical supervision and instruction to students
  • Maintain and update knowledge through continuing education credits

Requirements

  • Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiologic Tech program preferred
  • Current CT Radiographer License required
  • Demonstrates competencies, including knowledge and behaviors, to meet age-specific patient needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member
  • CPR validation within 3 months of hire
