Job details:

As a Radiologic Technologist, your responsibilities will include performing diagnostic radiographic imaging procedures in various settings, including ambulatory or acute care, by positioning patients, operating diagnostic x-ray equipment, and providing patient care during imaging exams to assist in diagnosis and treatment. You will work with a team of healthcare professionals to deliver accurate and efficient imaging services to patients in need.

Responsibilities:

• Perform radiologic examinations on identified patients according to department procedures and protocols.
• Minimize radiation exposure to the patient, self, and others by implementing appropriate radiation protection techniques.
• Accurately input procedural information into electronic medical records and other systems.
• Obtain relevant patient information and ensure the proper exam is performed.
• Explain procedures to patients and address their concerns.
• Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and equipment.
• Participate in quality, safety, and compliance initiatives.
• Provide clinical supervision and instruction to students when necessary.

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited Radiography program.
• State of Connecticut Radiographer license.
• ARRT certification in Radiography.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Experience with PACS and digital technology.
• Knowledge of cross-section anatomy preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize.
