Job Summary

As a Radiologic Technologist, you will perform diagnostic radiographic imaging procedures by positioning patients, operating diagnostic x-ray equipment, and providing patient care. Your expertise will contribute to the accurate diagnosis and treatment of patients in various settings, including ambulatory and acute care.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiologic examinations using proper positioning techniques and diagnostic equipment
• Minimize radiation exposure by following radiation safety standards
• Input procedural information accurately into electronic medical records
• Obtain and review relevant patient information
• Explain procedures to patients and address their concerns
• Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and equipment
• Participate in quality, safety, and compliance initiatives
• Provide clinical supervision and instruction to students, if needed

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate from an accredited Radiography program
• Licensure: State of Connecticut Radiographer license, ARRT certification in Radiography, Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Experience with PACS and digital technology
  • Knowledge of cross-section anatomy preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
