Job Summary
As a Radiologic Technologist, you will perform diagnostic radiographic imaging procedures by positioning patients, operating diagnostic x-ray equipment, and providing patient care. Your expertise will contribute to the accurate diagnosis and treatment of patients in various settings, including ambulatory and acute care.
Responsibilities
- Perform radiologic examinations using proper positioning techniques and diagnostic equipment
- Minimize radiation exposure by following radiation safety standards
- Input procedural information accurately into electronic medical records
- Obtain and review relevant patient information
- Explain procedures to patients and address their concerns
- Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and equipment
- Participate in quality, safety, and compliance initiatives
- Provide clinical supervision and instruction to students, if needed
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate from an accredited Radiography program
- Licensure: State of Connecticut Radiographer license, ARRT certification in Radiography, Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Experience with PACS and digital technology
- Knowledge of cross-section anatomy preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
