Hartford HealthCare is seeking a skilled and dedicated Radiologic Technologist to join our team in Bridgeport, CT. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will perform diagnostic radiographic imaging procedures in various locations, assisting in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Job Details:

• Job Type: Full-time
• Schedule: 40 hours/week
• Shift: Day shift with rotating weekends

Responsibilities:

• Perform radiologic examinations on identified patients, including positioning and operating radiographic equipment, to produce high quality images
• Minimize radiation exposure to patients, self, and others by adhering to radiation safety standards and utilizing appropriate shielding devices
• Input procedural information into electronic medical records and imaging databases accurately
• Obtain relevant patient information and ensure the reason for the exam aligns with the exam request
• Explain procedures to patients, address their concerns, and ensure a safe work environment
• Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and equipment according to performance standards
• Participate in quality, safety, and compliance initiatives

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate from an accredited Radiography program
• Licensure: State of Connecticut Radiographer license, ARRT certification in Radiography, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Experience with PACS and digital technology
• Strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
