About PsychoGeriatric Services
PGS is a well-established practice with nearly 30 years of experience in delivering mental health services. Our team of psychiatrists, psychotherapists, and nurse practitioners provides care to over 300 facilities in Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and the District of Columbia. We specialize in serving the mental health needs of seniors in long-term care facilities, both in-person and through telehealth.
Position Overview
As a Licensed Psychologist at PGS, you will have the opportunity to provide psychotherapy services at our partner facilities. This role offers a fulfilling and flexible schedule, allowing you to have both meaningful work and a good work-life balance. We provide support and resources for career development, making it an ideal position for early career psychologists.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual and family counseling
- Offer on-site assistance at nursing homes, assisted care, and similar facilities
- Consult with facility staff to coordinate care
- Deliver periodic educational talks
- Adhere to established regulations, policies, and procedures while exercising initiative and independent judgment

Requirements
- State License as a Licensed Psychologist
- Availability to work during core business hours (M-F, 8-6 p.m. ET)
- Passion for working with seniors and providing exceptional care
- Physical ability to stand for 20 minutes and lift 15 pounds
