Hartford HealthCare is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Clinician to join our team. This opportunity allows you to work full time as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team. You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based therapy services under the clinical direction of our Department of Psychiatry Medical Director.

- Schedule: 40 hours per week, Shift 1, with one mandatory night shift until 8pm
- Location: Waterbury, CT

Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive admission assessments with patients, collecting relevant history and clinical information
- Utilize diagnostic tools and records to develop preliminary clinical impressions
- Engage patients and families in the development of individualized treatment plans
- Provide individual, family, and group therapy services
- Conduct suicide, homicide, and mental status assessments for patients at risk
- Document assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and case management collateral contacts
- Coordinate care with hospital providers, physicians, state agencies, courts, and non-profit organizations
- Maintain knowledge of managed care insurance requirements
- Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings and professional development activities
Qualifications
- Connecticut Licensed MSW or Master's degree with current Connecticut certification as an Alcohol/Drug Counselor (CADC)
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to meet the specific needs of patients of different age groups
- Bilingual skills preferred
