Responsibilities
As a Psychiatric Clinician in our IOP Adolescent Dual Diagnosis program, your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments and utilizing the Diagnostic Statistical Manual of Mental Health Disorders for diagnosis
- Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to develop initial and recurring treatment plans
- Providing individual, group, and family therapy utilizing evidence-based practices
- Conducting suicide risk assessments, violence risk assessments, and mental status examinations
- Making referrals to higher levels of care when necessary
- Completing all clinical documentation following regulatory requirements
- Acting as a mandatory reporter for child abuse, elder abuse, and individuals with disabilities
- Providing testimony in courts of law as required
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Counseling
- Current State of Connecticut licensure as an LMSW, LPCA, or LMFTA
- Minimum of three years of clinical experience in a psychiatric setting
