Summary

Encompass Health is seeking a skilled and motivated Program Director of Skilled Nursing to join our team in Lawrenceburg, KY. In this role, you will serve as the director of nursing over the skilled rehabilitation unit, ensuring the highest degree of quality care is delivered to our patients. As the Program Director, you will be responsible for organizing, developing, directing, and supervising all aspects of the program, in accordance with federal, state, and local standards and regulations.

Details

Responsibilities:

• Utilize independent judgment to oversee operations and patient care within the program
• Demonstrate effective supervisory skills and maintain good communication for interdepartmental relationships
• Ensure adequate staffing and scheduling to provide optimal coverage for patient services
• Participate in administrative meetings as a representative of the program
• Prepare and monitor financial and budgeting concerns for the program
• Maintain open communication with the Chief Nursing Officer and Director of Therapy Operations

As the Program Director, you will have the opportunity to create an environment and culture that enables the hospital to fulfill its mission. You will be responsible for holding staff accountable for performance, motivating staff to improve, and continuously assessing and improving the department's performance.

Qualifications:

• Valid state licensure or certification
• Bachelor's degree required, additional training and advanced degree preferred
• Minimum five years of healthcare experience with two years in management

Physical Requirements:

• Good visual acuity and ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to lift, lower, push, pull, and retrieve objects weighing a minimum of 30 pounds
