Summary

Hartford HealthCare, the largest and most comprehensive healthcare system in Connecticut, is seeking a skilled Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner specializing in Neuroimmunology to join our team. In this role, you will provide outpatient care to patients with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and General Neurology at our established and rapidly growing Multiple Sclerosis Center located in Southington, CT.

As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact and contribute to program development and potential research opportunities. You will work alongside our dedicated team of Medical Assistants, Administrative Assistants, Nurses, and Social Workers. This is a Monday to Friday position with no call, offering a competitive compensation package, matching 401k, tiered medical benefits, and CME reimbursement.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, quality-based care for patients with neuroimmunology diseases, mainly Multiple Sclerosis patients, but may include other neuroimmunology diseases and General Neurology.
• Participate in the medical management of patients, achieving or maintaining optimal health status, managing disease, and reducing the risk of illness.
• Assist in program development and potential future research opportunities.

Requirements

• Eligibility to be licensed as a Physician Assistant (PA), Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP), or Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP).
• Minimum 1 year of experience practicing as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is required, or 2 years of RN experience within MS or neurology for New Grad Nurse Practitioners.
• MS or neurology experience is highly preferred.
