Summary: Hartford HealthCare is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner for a night shift position in the Hospitalists department. This is a full-time position with a rotating schedule, providing acute internal medical care to hospitalized patients.   • Full-time, shift 3 role with a rotating schedule (Mon-Sun)
  • 40 standard hours per week
  • Shift details: 5pm-5am

Job Role: The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will be responsible for the inpatient clinical management of patients in the Hospital Medicine Department. Key responsibilities include:

  • Cross covering patients on various units throughout the hospital
  • Providing acute internal medical care
  • Assisting admitting hospitalist doctors with admissions
  • Contributing to positive patient outcomes by implementing quality hospital initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Masterโ€™s program
  • Licensed, or eligible to be licensed, as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of Connecticut
  • Certification, or eligible to be certified, as a Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
  • Acute Care Board Certification required for Nurse Practitioners
  • Hospitalist experience highly preferred
