Summary:
Hartford HealthCare is seeking a skilled and compassionate Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner (APRN) for the Vascular department in Winsted. In this role, you will work alongside an attending surgeon and independently manage a patient panel, focusing on venous disease, edema, and lymphedema. This is a full-time position with a standard schedule of 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, and no call required. Responsibilities:
- Independently manage a patient panel for venous disease, including pre-procedure, post-procedure, follow-up patients, and new consults.
- Treat conditions such as varicose veins, chronic venous insufficiency, edema, lymphedema, and perform vein injections/sclerotherapy.
- Follow up on imaging, assist with triage of new patients/emergency work-ins, and address nursing's clinical questions and concerns.
- Conduct wound checks, staple removal, and provide general vascular patient care.
- Practice locations include Winsted, Plainville, and Farmington.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner Master's program.
- 2 years of experience preferred.
- Licensed as a Physician Assistant/Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of Connecticut.
- Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP), Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP), or Physician Assistant (PA).
- Vascular, arterial, cardiac, or ambulatory experience is highly preferred.
