Encompass Health is seeking a skilled and experienced Physical Therapy Team Leader to join our team. As the Physical Therapy Team Leader, you will assist the Director of Therapy Operations in the day-to-day operations of a therapy team or discipline. Your responsibilities will include supervising tasks, coordinating with other departments, providing patient care, staff development, and mentoring.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Director of Therapy Operations in the day-to-day operations of a therapy team or discipline
• Provide effective supervisory skills and good communication skills for interdepartmental relationships
• Competency in licensed discipline evaluation, assessment, care planning, and treatment
• Delegate and supervise tasks of therapist assistants and technicians
• Assist with staffing, scheduling, orientation, training, and communications
• Maintain open and ongoing communication with hospital departments

Requirements:

• Current State license as a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Speech Language Pathologist
• CPR certification preferred unless otherwise required by hospital policy
• Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited therapy program
• Minimum of three year's discipline-specific or leadership experience
• Active on Therapy Clinical Ladder or specialty professional certification preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Visual acuity, speech recognition, and speech clarity
• Ability to lift, lower, push, pull, and retrieve objects weighing a minimum of 30 pounds

• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Fluency in English
• Active listening
• Strong information ordering, deductive reasoning, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently without continuous supervision
