As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work under the clinical supervision of a Physical Therapist to administer treatments and provide objective measures to support the evaluation and development of treatment strategies. You will work closely with patients, assisting with assessments, implementing treatment plans, and providing education to promote optimal patient outcomes.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist with patient assessments, including testing for joint range of motion, muscle strength, and mobility status
• Provide therapeutic techniques based on patient needs and treatment plans
• Communicate patient progress to the Physical Therapist
• Educate patients and caregivers on treatment, precautions, and equipment use
• Complete all required documentation accurately and in a timely manner
• Collaborate with other care providers to ensure coordinated patient care

Qualifications

• Associates Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
• Current State of CT Physical Therapy Assistant license
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (for Home Care positions)
• Knowledge of principles and practices of Physical Therapy
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and co-workers
