Responsibilities

• Independently evaluate and determine treatment strategies for acute or prolonged physical dysfunction or pain.
• Deliver or delegate services that remediate and rehabilitate physical dysfunction, emphasizing functional independence.
• Utilize evaluation skills and techniques to assess strength, motor control, joint mobility, soft tissue integrity, balance, coordination, posture, cardiopulmonary function, endurance, gait, and functional abilities.
• Apply physical and chemical agents, exercise, and other therapeutic procedures to maximize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Physical Therapy Program from an accredited American Physical Therapy Association school, with a Bachelor's degree or entry-level Master's degree.
• Must possess a Physical Therapist license in the state of Connecticut.
• One or more years of experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
