As a Physical Therapist (PT) at Encompass Health, your responsibilities will include:

• Providing physical therapy treatment and patient care in accordance with hospital, state, and federal regulations and professional guidelines.
• Delegating tasks and supervising physical therapist assistants and technicians.
• Maintaining open and ongoing communication with hospital departments to ensure the needs of patients, staff, and the hospital are met.
• Assisting patients in regaining control of their lives and achieving independence.
• Creating an environment and culture that promotes patient safety and patient-centered treatment.

To excel in this role, you will need:

• Current state licensure or certification prior to employment.
• CPR certification preferred (unless otherwise required by hospital policy).
• Successful completion of a degree from an accredited bachelor's or master's program, preferably with sufficient experience in the field.
• Demonstrated competence in physical therapy evaluation, assessment, care planning, and treatment.
• Effective communication skills for working with patients, families, and caregivers.
