Hartford HealthCare is seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team at the Outpatient Rehabilitation clinic in Torrington, Connecticut. This is a full-time position with a focus on Orthopedic and Sports Medicine. New graduates are welcome to apply.

Details:

As a Physical Therapist, you will provide medically prescribed Physical Therapy treatments to patients. You will independently evaluate the patient's level of function, determine treatment strategies, and deliver or delegate Physical Therapy services to address acute or prolonged physical dysfunction or pain. Your expertise will involve evaluation skills, therapeutic techniques, analysis of patients, and the application of physical and chemical agents to maximize the patient's functional independence.

Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough examinations and evaluations of patients' level of function
• Establish measurable goals with patients based on appropriate care protocols
• Implement and deliver patient care utilizing appropriate interventions and clinical decision making
• Provide patient and caregiver education regarding treatment and equipment use
• Participate in patient transition planning and discharge planning

Qualifications:

• Graduate of a Physical Therapy Program from an accredited American Physical Therapy Association school
• Active license to practice Physical Therapy in Connecticut
• Preferred: 3 years of experience, or new grads welcome with mentorship/training available
• Preferred: Experience or interest in sports medicine and functional movement assessments
• Preferred: Advanced certifications such as FMS, CDN, AAOMPT
