Description

As a Physical Therapist (PT), you will play a vital role in administering medically prescribed Physical Therapy treatments to patients. You will independently evaluate patients' level of function, determine treatment strategies, and deliver high-quality care that identifies, prevents, remediates, and rehabilitates acute or prolonged physical dysfunction or pain.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough examinations and evaluations of patients' level of function, including strength, movement, motor control, joint mobility, soft tissue integrity, pain, balance, coordination, posture, and cardiopulmonary function
• Collaborate with patients and families to establish measurable goals based on appropriate care protocols
• Implement and deliver patient care using a range of interventions and clinical decision-making
• Provide patient and caregiver education regarding treatment, precautions, and equipment use
• Participate in patient transition planning, discharge planning, and coordination of care
• Delegate patient care tasks and provide clinical supervision for students and assistants

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Program
• Active PT license in Connecticut

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 years of experience or New Grads welcome with mentorship/training available
• Experience or interest in sports medicine and functional movement assessments
• Advanced certifications (FMS, CDN, AAOMPT)
• ABPTS OCS, SCS
• Dual credentialed as an ATC and/or Emergency Response for the Athlete or equivalent
