Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy treatment and patient care according to hospital, state, and federal regulations
• Delegate tasks and supervise physical therapist assistants and technicians
• Maintain open communication with hospital departments to ensure patient, staff, and hospital needs are met
• Help patients regain control of their lives and independence
• Create an environment and culture that promotes patient safety and patient-centered treatment

Requirements

• Current state licensure or certification
• CPR certification preferred
• Bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited program
• Demonstrated competence in physical therapy evaluation, assessment, care planning, and treatment
• Effective communication skills for working with patients, families, and caregivers
